Guide · Poster frame

Your poster on the wall in 1 minute.

Black MDF frame with plexiglass. Light, shatterproof and ready in a few moves. Here is how.

Done in 4 steps

  1. 1

    Peel the film

First peel the protective film off the plexiglass, on both sides if there is one. That is what makes it crystal clear.

  2. 2

    Open the back

Lay the frame plexiglass-down on a soft cloth. Bend or turn the clips on the back open and lift out the backboard.

  3. 3

    Poster in

Place the poster print-side down onto the plexiglass. Our posters are exactly the size of the frame, no trimming.

  4. 4

    Close and hang

Backboard back in, clips closed, flip it over and hang it from the hanger on the back. Done.

Pro tips

01

The right height

Put the centre of the poster at about 145 to 150 cm from the floor. Above a sofa: 20 to 25 cm above the backrest.

02

Test with tape first

Mark the size on the wall with painter’s tape before you drill. You see straight away if size and spot work.

03

Cleaning plexiglass

Only with a soft, damp microfibre cloth. No glass cleaner with alcohol or ammonia, it turns plexiglass dull.

04

A gallery wall

Keep 5 to 8 cm between frames and line up the top edges or the centres.

FAQ

Is plexiglass as good as glass?

It is clear, much lighter and does not shatter. Safer in a kids room and in the post.

Is there a mount (passe-partout)?

No. The poster fills the whole frame. Want a white margin? Pick a poster with a white border.

Portrait or landscape?

Both, as long as the hanger ends up at the top. Turn the frame before you put the poster in.
